Ello

Ello is an app-based reading coach that listens to your child read from real books, teaches and motivates them, and transforms them into enthusiastic readers.

To use Ello, grab a book from your box and open the Ello App. Your child reads out loud to Ello and watches Ello coach them into a confident, capable reader.

There are two options available: Ello with e-books is $9.99 per month and Ello with paperbacks is $39.99 per month.

Ello with e-books includes full app access, digital coaching, Ello's library of books, and digital prizes. Ello with paperbacks includes all of the above benefits, as well as 5 physical books shipped monthly and a physical prize for meeting the previous month's star goal.

Ello offers books for children in Kindergarten to 3rd grade. It works best for children between 4 and 8 years old, but it depends on their reading ability.

Ello with e-books includes 3 books per weekly lesson, while Ello with paperbacks includes 5 physical books shipped monthly.

If you choose to allow it, we process audio of your child reading to provide real-time support and motivation. We also collect anonymous and aggregated usage data.

The Ello app works on iPads running iOS 15 and newer, as well as Android tablet devices.

Ello offers level-appropriate, inclusive, and engaging books, including favorite classics and books created by authors specialized in reading education.
